There are more than 4,000 people in the Mid-South waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant. On Friday, April 14, 2023, Mid-South Transplant Foundation needs your help to turn the Mid-South Blue & Green to shine a light on your community's need for organ and tissue donation.
Supporting Blue & Green Day is simple! On April 14, we're asking all area businesses, clinical partners, community and faith-based leaders, donor families, organ and tissue recipients and supporting individuals to help us turn your community Blue and Green by doing any of the following:
-Light your building, fountain, office, workspace or home in Blue & Green, LED colored light bulbs are available at Home Depot, Lowe's or the Light Bulb Depot. You can also use gel filters.
-Ask your employees, friends, family and church members to wear Blue & Green and post their photos to social media with the hashtag #BlueGreenDayMidSouth
-Visit our website to upload your photos into the Blue & Green Day Mid-South Photo Contest to win prizes!
-Place a yard sign in your yard at home or at work
-Encourage everyone you know to visit our website at www.MidSouthTransplant.org to register to be an organ and tissue donor
We'll also do out part to make Blue & Green Day Mid-South even bigger and better this year with more community partnership. You'll find a list of past partners on our website. Blue & Green Day Mid-South activities will conclude with the "Mighty Lights" in Downtown Memphis being lit in Blue & Green on the cables of the Big River Crossing and Hernando de Soto bridges.
For more than 50 years, the Mid-South Transplant Foundation continues to help facilitate the organ and tissue donation process between donor families and recipients and promotes awareness of donation through public and professional education. Now, we need your help to light your community in Blue & Green (and take great photos) to raise awareness!
